The name of our software, Church Equip,
is derived from the scriptures that
encourages leaders to equip the Body of
Christ. Ephesians 4:11,12.. "And He gave
some as apostles, and some as prophets,
and some as evangelists, and some as
pastors and teachers, for the equipping
of the saints for the work of service,
to the building up of the body of
Christ;" (NASB)
The gathering of strategic
information is crucial for the task of
equipping the Body for ministry. Today's
technology has made this task much
simpler for the church and we believe
our role at Church Equip Inc. is to help
make this technology available to local
churches around the world. We will do
our best as we assume our role in
equipping the churches to carry out work
of the gospel.
Church Equip was born out of a need for
flexibility and the cutting edge
information necessary to support
functional ministry structures in
churches. We developed the software with
the help of church administrators and
pastors, the guiding question became,
"What type
of information is needed to lead the
church well?".
The Church Equip tools were developed in
response to many of the current ministry
philosophies such as small groups and
the lay ministry reformation being
experienced in church around the world.
The Church Equip software began in 1996
as an assignment in a seminary class at
Canadian Theological Seminary. Today,
Church Equip Inc. is an incorporated
company with its office in Vancouver,
Canada and the US. Our mission is to
equip churches with great products that
we are uniquely placed to provide at
excellent prices. This is evidenced in
our pricing strategy where we allow
churches to lease our software at a very
affordable yearly lease rate rather than
purchasing the software at perhaps many
hundreds or even thousands of dollars.
We do not
charge you according to the number of
people in your congregation (unlimited
entries); we do not charge you according
to the number of users (unlimited users
with different access levels and
privileges). Even
the smallest of churches have access to
"big church
software" at
rates they can afford. It is our desire
to help churches take advantage of the
technological revolution. However, we
have made available
superfast
processors for larger churches.
These packages are power packed with
unmatched features and contain
everything a large Church needs to
conduct online transactions.
Church Equip Online - Over the years, we
have invested heavily in migrating our
Church Equip software to the web. The
new Church Equip Online gives churches
many advantages over the old
client-server technology.
We are hopeful that many
churches around this globe will benefit
from our efforts to equip them for the
work of the gospel even in the midst of
tremendous societal change.
