Church Equip Menu Help

The Church Equip Menu is designed to be open and available from anywhere in Church Equip. The various modules, data entry forms, reports etc, are all very visible and easy to find.

The Family Information Form

The primary form in Church Equip is the Family Information Form. There is a search utiltiy at the top of the form to search for families and nearly all the forms in Church Equip have edit controls to safeguard from accidental edits. Additional tabs are available for family communication modes, contact information, service visit tracking for new families, family notes and much more. Visible at the bottom of the Family Information Form is each family member. You can access the family member from this form or from the Family Information Form.

The Scrolling News Object

Catch attention to your news items with the scrolling news object on the front page of your website. It is very simple to create and edit scrolling news items and users have the option to click on each item to view the full story.

The Online Congregational Calendar

Keep your congregation informed and your events well attended. It is very simple to add or edit events. Assign specific users to have permissions to update the calendar. It has never been so easy!

Newsletter and List Management Utility

Yes, you can now manage your newsletter email lists with ease. Allow browsers to add themselves to any newletter group or unsubscribe as desired. Create online newsletters with the HTML WYSIWYG editor.

Create Unlimited Data Forms

The content editor has a quick form builder tool that will allow you to create any number of data entry forms to collect registration information, contact us notes, etc. Each form will display a list of results to an authorized viewer.

The Congregational Polling Utility

The feature will bring your site visitors back again and again. Create any question with any variety of optional answers for your site browsers. As they answer the poll they are given immediate results in their browser.

The Dynamic Church Equip Congregational Phonebook

This feature will allow Church Equip Software customer to dynamically link their Church phone directory in thier software to a password protected phonebook. Each change in your Church software is reflected immediately in your online phonebook. Gone are the days of publishing out of date phonebooks.

User Security and Login Screen

Allow some users access to share in some of the website tasks. Assign various users to manage the calendar, create and edit polls, update the newsletter, create ministry pages, etc. The beauty of this content editor is that publishing control is still maintained by authorized publishers. This means that many users can create pages but they are approved by an authorized publisher before they are viewed on the website. Also, this utility will help users remember their passwords.

The Workspace Menu

The menu will give you some idea of the power you have to create, edit and manage your website and remember, you don't need to know any programming knowledge.

The Administration Menu

The administrators menu empowers you to create user logins and set criteria for users, choose templates for various sections of the website, and create website sections or chanels that can be password protected as desired.

The WYSIWYG Editor

The WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor is as easy as editing with Microsoft Word. Add graphics or photos to a page, create links, or tables, even include streaming video or audio objects. Of course you can also do the normal editing such as changing font types or sizes, adding color or borders etc. Remember, you can do all this with no programming knowledge. Maintaining your website no longer needs to be expensive or time consuming and you never have to wait for the job to be done.

Publishing Controls

The page editing contols offer you the usual array of editing tools, (Add New, Edit, Rename and Delete) but the also give you a way to move pages to different menu items as well as send any page for publishing. Each user is allowed to create pages but before the are published for live viewing on your website they must be published by an administrator. This empowers many ministry leaders without the worry about how thier pages will align with your values etc. Empowerment and control all in one package.

Resource Management

The resource management tool gives you the ability to upload various types of resources and make them available to users as they create pages. Upload photos, graphics, pdf documents, wave files, mp3s etc. Create folders and file them accordingly. The resources can also be made available for some website sections and not for others.

Edit Save Options

As a user creates or edits a page they can save their work with a variety of options. If they are not yet completed the page they can save the page and lock it so others can not make changes to their work, or they can send it for publishing etc.

Publishing Schedule

This tool helps you keep your website current. As you create a page you can add a publishing schedule to the page. This will make the page open to public viewing after a certain date and before another date. This is excellent for publishing announcements etc. that are only valid for a period of time.

Version History

At any time you can revert to a previous version of a page with the click of a button. Multiple versions of pages, (each newly published page) is stored in a database and is available in the page version history.

User Editing and Authorization

Create any number of users with a variety of permissions. You may choosed to allow them to create, edit and publish pages, edit the calendar, the scrolling news, etc. or give them access to one section of the website. User permissions are easily updated and a user can be deleted at any time..
